Microphone processing is set automatically: a mixer / line feed is passed through untouched, a laptop or headset mic gets auto-gain and noise suppression.
Longer segments give the translator more context. If sentences get chopped into single words, switch toward Quality. Use Stage when the translation plays through the room speakers.
Advanced
For a guest speaker the congregation can't understand: his words are translated and spoken out loud through the speakers, like an interpreter on stage. Use the Stage speed preset, a Premium voice, and ask the speaker to pause between sentences. IMPORTANT: on the mixer, the PA output must NOT be routed back into the feed this computer records - otherwise the system will hear its own translation.
📱 Keep this screen open while broadcasting. The screen will not auto-lock, but pressing the power button or switching apps will interrupt the microphone.

Speech should reach the green/upper range. Near zero = the system hears silence and will mis-recognize everything.

Add a channel
Standard = recommended: a natural server voice that works on every phone. Premium = the most lifelike voice available - costs extra per character. Browser voice = uses the listener's phone voice - free but SILENT if their phone lacks the language. Always press Test before your event.
Names & special words
The recognizer guesses every word from how it sounds, so a rare name easily becomes a common word ("Gloria" → "glory") - and the translation then turns it into something else. Tell it which names and words to expect and they are recognized reliably. Applies from the next time you go live.

Visitor languages
Listeners whose language isn't offered can add it themselves from their phone. Set how many extra languages may be active at the same time (each one is a live translation stream and costs streaming minutes like a normal channel). Visitor channels always use a server voice - never the phone's browser voice - and disappear automatically after 5 minutes with no listeners.

Speech transcripts
Recordings
One file per broadcast, in the original spoken language, with [hh:mm:ss] timestamps from the start of the broadcast - so the exact moment is easy to find afterwards. Kept for 90 days, then removed automatically.
Your layouts
Give the listener page your church's name, logo and colours. Save as many layouts as you like (e.g. "Sunday", "Christmas", "Youth night") and switch between them - the built-in default is always there to come back to.
Edit layout
PNG, JPG or SVG. Shrunk to 512 px automatically. Transparent PNG looks best.
Poster with QR code
A ready-to-print poster in the layout you are editing: logo, name, "scan to listen in your language" and the QR code for your listener page.
